Le mercredi 14 septembre 2011, au siège de la Congrégation pour la Doctrine de la Foi, a eu lieu une rencontre du Cardinal William Levada, Préfet de cette Congrégation avec Monseigneur Bernard
Fellay, Supérieur général de la Fraternité sacerdotale saint Pie X. Une commission mixte d’études, composée d’experts de la Fraternité sacerdotale saint Pie X et d’experts de la
Congrégation pour la Doctrine de la Foi, s’est réunie, au total, à huit reprises, pour des rencontres, qui ont eu lieu à Rome, entre le mois d’octobre 2009 et le mois d’avril 2011. <span style=

Fraternité sacerdotale saint Pie X <span style=

doctrinal. Ce Préambule doctrinal énonce certains des principes doctrinaux et des critères d’interprétation de la doctrine catholique nécessaires pour garantir la fidélité au Magistère de
l’Église, tout en laissant ouvertes à une discussion l’étude et l’explication théologique d’expressions ou de formulations particulières présentes dans les textes du <span style=

en considérant que d’autres points liés au Concile Vatican II peuvent être sujet à des interprétations différentes chez les catholiques sans que le noyau de leur foi en soit altéré. Une telle
distinction, ouvre un débat à l’intérieur de l’Église catholique car elle touche à l’autorité même du Concile Vatican II jusque là perçu comme un bloc à prendre ou à laisser.
